Mogora
Also known as: — | Race: Human (D'ivers) | Warren/Affiliation: D'ivers (spiders)Summary
Mogora is the long-suffering, perpetually quarrelsome wife of Iskaral Pust, the High Priest of Shadow. A D'ivers shapeshifter who fragments into a swarm of spiders, Mogora provides a constant source of bickering comedy alongside her equally eccentric husband. Their relationship — a marriage of mutual antagonism, suspicion, and inexplicable attachment — is one of the series' longest-running comedic subplots.
Arc by Book
Book 2: Deadhouse Gates
Mogora first appears at the temple of Shadow in the Holy Desert of Raraku, where she has established herself as an unwanted presence alongside Iskaral Pust. She and Pust maintain a relationship defined by constant argument, sabotage, and grudging codependence.
Book 4: House of Chains
Mogora continues her turbulent coexistence with Iskaral Pust, their domestic warfare providing comic relief amid the grimmer events of the Whirlwind Rebellion.
Book 6: The Bonehunters
Mogora travels with Iskaral Pust, their arguments now a familiar part of the narrative landscape. Her D'ivers form — breaking into hundreds of spiders — is occasionally useful but mostly horrifying to those around them.
